It was awesome. The theme of it all was "I Am Second", which means we make ourselves second to God instead of us making our lifes all about us, live for him. It was so wonderful. To be able to not have to worry about any of my problems or any of my family. It was great. I could just focus on me and My Saviour :] and our relationship. We talked about being a leader and how the greatest leader is a servant. Even to people we don't like so very much. Something that stood out to me a lot is this: "Jesus prunes things from our lives that don't belong. It could be painful, but worth it in the end." I took this as Jesus knows what is best for me. Only HE knows what is best for me. Some things you have to be willing to let go for him and it will hurt. But it will be worth it in the end. I wish that i could live at camp or Collision, but i can't. Life isn't meant to be easy and living at collision or camp is definately much easier than in the real world. It also motivates me to become a better person. After this last weekend, i have been completely restored. My weekend was emotionally and physically draining. I learned so much and how exactly to be a better servant than i was before. The last night, we washed people's feet. I'm sure that sounds nasty to you but it wasn't bad. I'm definately not a feet person. Just to paint a picture for you, we are all sitting there listening to Kyle talk and he is telling us the story of how Jesus washed his deciples' feet. A very powerful story. John 13:1-17 is what we read. After he read us the story, he called our youth pastor David up and told him to sit down. He told David he was going to wash his feet. He began to tell david how much of an amazing influence he has on us, the youth, and how much he appreciated him. After he washed David's feet, he told us we were going to wash people's feet. So we did it. Most of us. And i'm so happy i did. Washing someone's feet may sound strange but just to know and feel that someone is serving you. Something so small yet so big, i can't even explain to you how it was. It was just the most humbling experience i've ever been a part of. All in all, my weekend was amazing. And i can't wait till camp :] Good Night everyone.
